Google-Interviews

Super, was man bei einem Einstellungsgespräch bei Google so alles gefragt wird.

Q: "You are shrunk to the height of a nickel and your mass is proportionally reduced so as to maintain your original density. You are then thrown into an empty glass blender. The blades will start moving in 60 seconds. What do you do?"

Q: "How would you find out if a machine's stack grows up or down in memory?"

Q: "Explain a database in three sentences to your eight-year-old nephew."

Q: "How many gas stations would you say there are in the United States?"

Ich behaupte hier einfach mal drauf los, dass Larry und Sergey noch heute auf der Strasse stünden, hätten sie an ihren Bewerbungsgesprächen solchen Mist beantworten müssen ...

That's just bollocks. A good friend of mine had an interview at the google office here in London as a developer a couple of weeks ago and he didn't have to answer any question like this.

It was more like solving equations and finding out algorithms or patterns on sequences while standing at the blackboard. Or answering questions about different search or sort algorithms etc.

I consider these questions to be an urban legend.

You're better prepared going through your scripts of university than looking up the number of gas stations in the US!
