[…] most of the rest of us habitual pro Mac desktop buyers have to give the iMac some serious consideration. Steve Jobs came out and said it: Apple now considers the iMac line the home for “consumers [and] prosumers, but a lot of our pro customers as well.” As someone with a Power Mac G5 and an Apple Cinema Display sitting in my office at home, I’m sorely tempted to keep the monitor, but attach it to one of these new iMacs. And I’ve never, ever bought an iMac for my home before.

Mir geht es ähnlich – sollte mein derzeitiger PowerMac G5 1.8GHz Dual einmal ersetzt werden, könnte es durchaus einer dieser neuen iMacs sein! Ich frage mich derzeit aber noch, ob ich dann auf das 24″-Modell losgehen werde (1900×1200) oder den 20 Zöller wähle und einen zweiten Monitor daneben hinstelle (ich habe mich mittlerweile dermassen an zwei 1280×1024-TFT-Schirme gewohnt, dass ich diese kaum mehr missen möchte).
