Bolton once again dredged up the old Iraq war-drum tactic of belittling anyone less bellicose. “I regret to say that to date the Europeans simply do not see the Iranian threat the way we do… At some point, somebody in Europe has to say, you know, we’ve been trying this for four years, we’ve tried this behavioral approach… and Iran’s behavior isn’t changed. After four years of failure, I think it’s time to call it quits.”

Quelle: Bolton and Hannity: Let’s Get This War Party Started!

  • „Condy Rice calls them the ‚world central bank of terrorism'“ – was ist mit Saudi-Arabien? Die Amis überweisen doch denen monatlich Millionen US-Dollars, um den American Way of Life weiterleben zu können …

Da braut sich was zusammen

We must attack Iran with everything we have. It should not be a limited attack on the nuclear installations alone, but an all out attack to destroy not only those installations but the Iranian military, theocracy and entire government of Iran.

[…] Yes, there will be collateral damage and civilian casualties, but that is exactly what we face here in our country if we fail to act. Better them than us. We have to stop worrying so much about civilian casualties and focus instead on the objective as the top priority.

We have tried to make war too clean by politically correct decisions on warfare.

The only thing Islam respects is brutality and overwhelming force. It’s how they’ve lived for over a thousand years.

Das hatten wir doch alles schon einmal … Die Jungs sind einfach irr.

Wann kommt Kaliforniens "Big One"?

It sounds like a Hollywood disaster movie, all right. But sooner or later, when the Big One hits, it will be all too real. As certain as California’s sunny days, palm trees, and celebrity politicians, a massive earthquake is coming. With more than 300 faults beneath Southern California, and the giant San Andreas fault running through the state, California is a seismic time bomb. A magnitude 7 quake has a 62% chance of hitting San Francisco in the next 30 years, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); the risk for L.A. is only slightly less. […]

A shaker of that size, especially in the densely packed areas of L.A. or San Francisco, could make the horrific sights from Katrina look almost tame. Because there would be no warning — no CNN satellite shots like the ones that plotted Katrina’s swirling path toward New Orleans — there would be no evacuation. Virtually every one of L.A.’s freeways would be destroyed, says Lucille M. Jones, USGS chief scientist for Southern California. That could cut off supplies and needed help. […]

Researchers at the University of California, Davis, forecast a 75% chance that San Francisco will be struck by a major earthquake of magnitude 7 or above by 2086.

Brücken als Nadelöhr

Besonders aktuell ist auch folgende Feststellung:

Plans to make the San Francisco Bay Bridge, which was partially destroyed in 1989, more earthquake-resistant have been delayed for eight years over design and funding controversies. Final plans were agreed to only this past July. The federal government’s policies haven’t helped much either. In the most recent Bush Administration budget, FEMA intends to spend three of every four dollars of its $3.4 billion in grant funds on anti-terrorism efforts, leaving little for earthquake preparedness. […]

Thus, everyone who is diagnosed early automatically survives longer, independent of any other variable. Conversely, if you are diagnosed late, you are not going to „survive“ for long, although you might already have lived for quite a long time with your cancer.

Quelle: Winning the (propaganda) war on cancer

The cancer treatment industry desperately wants us to think it’s beyond fabulous: cancer drugs, and related diagnostic and treatment devices, are among the most expensive, and most profitable, known to medicine. There are those who profit from our assumption that early diagnosis and treatment extend patients‘ lives. And profit they do: think of the hospitals, drug makers, device makers, diagnostic technicians, radiotherapists, surgeons, and oncologists. Cancer treatment is a vast, complex industry, and like any industry it flourishes best in a field of semi-educated consumers.
